Cumilla perpetrators must face music : Prime Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the perpetrators of the offence of Cumilla must be detected and brought to justice.

He made the caution while exchanging greetings with Hindu community leaders on the occasion of Durga Puja this afternoon.

Reiterating Bangabandhu’s focus on secularism and communal harmony, she said that none will be allowed to damage the country’s religious peace and atmosphere of coexistence of people of all theological backgrounds.

The premier is felicitated the Hindu community by connecting virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban to the central puja mandap at Dhakeshwari National Temple.

It may be noted that the government deployed BGB in different parts of the country to maintain law and order in the wake of tension triggered by desecration of holy Quran in Cumilla.
