What does the Holy Quran say about Iman?
The truth is that we all experience the ups and downs of Iman at some point in our lives. However, it is important to remember that Allah does not always expect perfection from us. In fact, He just wants us to do our best.
Trying to be better Muslims by making small changes in our lives is an accomplishment in itself. Therefore, when we see our Iman waning, start by taking the following 4 small steps to bring us closer to Almighty Allah, as defined in the Quran:
Believe in Allah’s mercy
“Allah is the friend of the Believers. He brought them out of darkness into light.” Surah Al-Baqarah: 257
Prayer
“And make prayer, give zakat and bow with those who bow in worship and obedience.” Surah Al-Baqarah: 43
Make Dua
And your Lord said, “Call upon me; I will answer.” Surah Ghafir: 60
Give Charity
“Those who spend their wealth for Allah’s satisfaction secretly and openly day and night, there will be a reward from their Lord. And there will be no fear of them, and they will not grieve.” Surah Al-Baqarah: 274
May Allah strengthen our Iman and reward us with the best of both worlds.
