4 reasons to recite the Holy Quran daily

The Holy Quran is a complete guide for a man’s life. It sets forth a moral code of conduct for our life, outlining the practices that we must follow as Muslims to enter Jannah with good grades.

“Such a person who reads the Quran and memorizes it will be with (angels) respectable and obedient in heaven. And a person who strives to memorize the Quran and recite it by heart. It the hard way, there will be double the prize.

That said, here are 4 distinct reasons to make it a habit to read the Quran daily:

It guides us through tough times

The Quran is the ultimate revelation bestowed upon our prophet Muhammad, and this is reflected as an eternal guide to all mankind. Therefore, reading the Quran with meaning provides all the guidance one might need in this life from Almighty Allah to overcome the obstacles of life.

The Prophet Muhammad once said, “[Whoever reads a letter] from the Book of Allah, he will receive a reward for it, and a reward for ten such letters. I am not saying that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.”
It increases our reward in this life and hereafter

Quran recitation not only amplifies our reward in this life but also saves us from the fire of Jahannam, leading us directly to Jannah. Every word we read in the Quran guarantees us the Day of Judgment and declares to Allah to forgive the one who read it.

It brings us closer to Allah

Not to mention that reading the Quran daily with meaning automatically brings us closer to Allah, not only in this life but also in later life. The Prophet Muhammad said: “You will be with those whom you love (on the Day of Judgment).” Sahih Muslim: 2639 (a)

It brings serenity and peace to our hearts

There is an incomparable consolation in remembrance of Allah that we cannot find elsewhere. Of course, one of the best forms of remembrance is the recitation of the Quran as it purifies our evil hearts while inculcating a sense of calm in our souls.

Indeed, reciting the Quran and understanding the meaning of the words of Allah is the only solution we need to all our problems in life. May Allah guide us to the straight path and prevent us from deviating from it again.
