Importance and blessing of Ramadan in accordance to the Quran

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic Hijri Calendar and it is the most significant of all months for Muslims all over the world. This is a month of an opportunity given by the Almighty Allah for His servants to come close to Him.

The Importance of the month is also addressed by the Holy Quran and Hadiths. The gracious Creator asked His servants to seek forgiveness for their sins and fulfill their demands

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

Meaning: O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِى عَنِّى فَإِنِّى قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لِى وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ

Meaning: And when My servants ask you about Me, I Am near; I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. So let them respond Me, and have belief in Me, that they may be rightly guided.

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:186

إِنَّ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ وَٱلْمُسْلِمَٰتِ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَٱلْقَٰنِتِينَ وَٱلْقَٰنِتَٰتِ وَٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ وَٱلصَّٰدِقَٰتِ وَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ وَٱلصَّٰبِرَٰتِ وَٱلْخَٰشِعِينَ وَٱلْخَٰشِعَٰتِ وَٱلْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ وَٱلْمُتَصَدِّقَٰتِ وَٱلصَّٰٓئِمِينَ وَٱلصَّٰٓئِمَٰتِ وَٱلْحَٰفِظِينَ فُرُوجَهُمْ وَٱلْحَٰفِظَٰتِ وَٱلذَّٰكِرِينَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَٱلذَّٰكِرَٰتِ أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

Meaning: And men who fast and women who fast, Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty reward.

Surah Al-Ahzab, 33:35
